Independent and semi-independent living communities where residents need documents notarized without disrupting their daily routine.

Rehabilitation Centers

Short-term rehab after surgery, stroke, or injury. When a quick recovery timeline meets urgent legal paperwork, we move fast.

Memory Care Units

We approach memory care signings with extra care. Signer awareness is assessed carefully, and we'll advise families if a document cannot safely proceed.

Continuing Care Communities

Retirement communities with multiple levels of care — we serve residents at any level within the same campus visit.

Private Residences (Home Care)

For seniors receiving in-home care who cannot travel, we come directly to the home. Same professionalism, same process.

Common Documents for Nursing Home & Assisted Living Notarizations

These are the documents most often needed when a senior resident or family is working through estate planning, care transitions, or end-of-life paperwork.

Important: The signer must be mentally aware, willing, and able to present valid government-issued photo ID. We do not provide legal advice. For memory care residents with capacity concerns, please consult an elder law attorney before scheduling.

Questions About Nursing Home Notarizations in Charlotte

Can you come to a nursing home the same day?
Same-day visits are available when our schedule allows. For time-sensitive situations, call us directly at 980-505-8050 so we can check availability right away rather than waiting for a form response.
My parent has dementia — can they still have documents notarized?
This is one of the most important questions families ask. A notary must assess whether the signer understands what they are signing and is acting voluntarily at the time of the signing. Dementia does not automatically disqualify someone, but if there is any significant doubt about awareness or capacity, we will not proceed. An elder law attorney can advise you on whether the signing should move forward.
Does the resident need their ID with them at the facility?
Yes — a valid government-issued photo ID is required. Driver's license, state ID card, or passport are the most common. If the resident's ID is not at the facility, please bring it with you or contact us before scheduling. We cannot complete the notarization without it.
Do you work with nursing home staff during the visit?
Yes. We coordinate with staff, follow visitor check-in procedures, and work around care schedules. We don't disrupt nursing routines. Let us know about any facility-specific access rules when you book.
Are witnesses required for nursing home documents?
It depends on the document. Wills typically require two witnesses present during signing. Certain healthcare directives may also require witnesses. Family members arranging the visit are responsible for providing appropriate witnesses. We can advise on what your specific document requires when you call.
Do you serve nursing homes in Monroe and Mint Hill too?
Yes. We serve facilities throughout the Charlotte metro area including Monroe, Mint Hill, Matthews, Indian Trail, and surrounding Union and Mecklenburg County communities. Call to confirm availability at a specific facility.
